You can get to know the colourful phases of Finnish military history in the exhibitions of the Military Museum located in Suomenlinna. The exhibitions in the Military Museum´s Manege and in the Artillery Manege will take you from the Finnish Civil War of 1918 onto the struggles of World War II and on to the 21st century.

The exhibition in the Military Museum's Manege tells about the Finnish Civil War 1918, the Winter War 1939–1940, the Continuation War 1941–1944 and the Lapland War 1944–1945. The Artillery Manege presents Finnish WW 2 frontline art, and there is also an exhibition showing the life of a soldier in both wartime and peacetime. In addition, there are changing exhibitions on various topics related to Finnish military history.

The Artillery Manege is closed from 4 March to 7 May 2024. The renewed exhibition opens to the public on May 8, 2024.
