Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma
Kiasma is Finland’s leading museum of contemporary art and one of Helsinki’s key cultural attractions. Here you can experience some of the most fascinating art of our time by both Finnish and international artists. The museum’s changing exhibitions, current performances, and events for all ages make contemporary art accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Located right in the heart of Helsinki, Kiasma is a landmark in its own right thanks to its architecture. Designed by American architect Steven Holl, the building’s surfaces and forms were created with light in mind, while the winding staircases and ramps guide visitors from one floor to another. Kiasma is fully accessible, and all floors can also be reached by elevator.
A visit to the museum is crowned by the museum shop, where you’ll find art books, Finnish design, and delightful everyday items for all ages. On the ground floor, the restaurant serves high-quality lunches, delicious café products, and refreshing drinks.
Kiasma is part of the Finnish National Gallery, together with the Ateneum and the Sinebrychoff Art Museum.
