Quarried out of the natural bedrock and designed by architects Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen, Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church) is one of Helsinki's most popular attractions. Its spectacular atmosphere and unique architecture promise to make it an unforgettable experience, with its copper dome, exposed rocks and concrete beams. If you go before noon, you can see fantastic shadows cast across the walls from the light streaming through the windows to the alter wall.

Look out for concerts at Rock Church - they are spectacular thanks to its amazing acoustics.
