- Is there any benefit in buying the Helsinki Card nowIf you purchase the Helsinki Card online and get it delivered to you before you travel, you can start to plan your sightseeing adventure before you arrive with your free guidebook. The more you see the more you save, so the longer the pass duration the better the value. But remember, you only need to visit a few attractions before you start saving money. - Which Helsinki Card offers the most/best savings
The 3 day Helsinki Card offers the best value for money per day. However, it is easy to save with all Helsinki Cards as attractions in Helsinki often cost 10-18€ to enter and sightseeing costs 25-32 €.

- Where can I use The Helsinki Card? Which attractions are included
There are over 30 top attractions included on The Helsinki Card including two bus tours, Suomenlinna Fortress Island and much more. You can also get discounted entry at 30 more when showing The Helsinki Card. Check out the complete list of Helsinki attractions included.
- What are the normal costs of the attractions
The entry costs for all attractions vary and may be over 20,00 € for an adult ticket. To see how much you could save on normal entry costs, browse our Helsinki attractions section.
- Are the attractions accessible all year round
The majority of attractions included on The Helsinki Card are open all year round with just a few days of closure, usually around Christmas. Some are more seasonal, however, and are shut during the summer or winter months so we do advise you to check with the attractions before visiting to avoid disappointment.

- How do I find out an attractions opening times and closing times
The opening times and dates of all Helsinki Card attractions can be found on each individual attraction page on the website. Opening times are also detailed in the Helsinki Card Guidebook received with every order.
- Can I visit the same attraction twice with my Helsinki Card
You can only visit each free attraction included on the Helsinki Card once but discounted entry attractions can be visited several times. The Travelcard part is unlimited for the duration of your pass.
- Is The Helsinki Card suitable for those with disabilities and their carers
Some attractions may offer carer places or free entry to visitors with disabilities, so The Helsinki Pass might not be the most suitable for them as requirements vary from attraction to attraction. Please contact them directly for further information.

- How much does a Helsinki Card cost
The cost of a Helsinki Card varies depending on the duration and pass type (adult or child). For full details of the latest prices then check out the Prices page.
Note: the longer the duration, the better value the pass.
- If I order online how do I receive The Helsinki Card
Ordering the physical card through the site gives you the option to have the card shipped or pick it up when you arrive at Helsinki. The Helsinki Card CITY and Helsinki Card REGION are physical cards. You can't use these from your mobile.
If you want a digital option, purchase the Helsinki Card MOBILE. We'll send a QR-code to your specified email address within three hours of your purchase. Use it through your smartphone. Click here for more information on collection options.
- Can I buy The Helsinki Card when I am in Helsinki
Yes, you can buy the Helsinki Card at Helsinki Card collection points and at many sales points e.g. hotels in Helsinki or, if you’d prefer, you can download the Helsinki Mobile Card to your smartphone.

- How do I use my Helsinki Mobile Card
Within 3 hours of purchase, you will receive a QR-code to your specified email address. Scan your QR code in at each attraction for entry. You can also download and print the email for easy scanning.
Please note, the Helsinki Card MOBILE is not available as a physical card and does not include travel on the public transport system.

- How do you define a child
Children are aged between 7-16 years.
- Can I buy The Helsinki Card for a group
When purchasing 15 Helsinki Cards or more, we offer a group discount. Please contact our Stromma sales department at sales@stromma.fi for more information on how to redeem your group discount.
- How do I use an offer code or discount code
If you have an offer code you can enter this on the checkout page after you have chosen you product(s).
Note: Offer codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount.
- Why haven't I received my email confirmation
Your email confirmation should normally arrive in your inbox a few minutes after completing a transaction/purchase. If you haven't received an email confirmation then we recommend you check your spam filter or junk folder.
If you still cannot locate an email then please send a request through to our customer service team confirming your email address and order reference number.
Transport
- Does The Helsinki Card include travel
The Helsinki Card can be used as a free travelcard which gives you unlimited journeys on the public transport system in Helsinki throughout the duration of your pass validity, including buses, trams, metro and Suomenlinna ferry.
If you purchase the additional Helsinki Card Region, this will extend your travel out to Espoo, Kauniainen and Vantaa, as well as including travel to/from the Airport, making it the complete sightseeing package.
- Can I use the City Sightseeing Hop on Hop off bus tour to travel around Helsinki
Yes, the City Sightseeing Hop on Hop off bus tour is a great way to see the sights of Helsinki. It is currently operating from spring to autumn - check the full timetable on their website.
- Can I use The Helsinki Card from the airport
The Helsinki Card CITY does not include free travel to/from the airport, however, you can get a discounted ticket for a Finnair City Bus.
You can also add a Helsinki Card Region to your order to travel for free on the Ring Rail line from Helsinki city centre to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
Helsinki Mobile Card does not include travel on the Ring Rail line to/from the Helsinki Airport.
Validity
- How does The Helsinki Card work
The Helsinki Card is simple and easy to use. As a pre-paid for sightseeing package, it includes entry into over 30 top Helsinki attractions and tours, as well as 30 extra discounts and offers, and a free travelcard to use across the public transport network in Helsinki metropolitan area.
The Helsinki Card also comes with a free guidebook as a useful resource, so all you have to do is plan your sightseeing adventure, show up to the attraction you’d like to visit and you’ll be scanned straight through.
The Helsinki Card is available in 1, 2 and 3 day durations which work on 24, 48 and 72 hours from first activation. For example, if you have a 1 day (24h) Helsinki Card and start using it on a Tuesday at 1pm, it will be valid until Wednesday 1pm.
- Are the 2 and 3 day passes for consecutive days
Yes, all Helsinki Cards must be used on consecutive days and they are valid 24, 48 or 72h from the first time you use them.
For example, if you have a 3 day (72h) Helsinki Card and start using it on a Tuesday at 1pm, it will be valid until Friday 1pm.
- What happens if I change the date of my trip to Helsinki
Your Helsinki Card (as well as your email confirmation voucher if you planned to collect your order in Helsinki) is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
